Opening Words
Welcome everyone
to the marriage of
Jennifer Full Name and Brian Full Name.
We are gathered here
to celebrate
one of life's greatest moments,
to give recognition
to the worth and beauty of love,
and to add our best wishes
to the words
which shall unite Brian and Jennifer
in marriage.
True marriage
is the uniting of two souls
already attuned to each other.
When such a true bond
already exists between a man and woman,
it is fitting
that an outer acknowledgement
be made.
This acknowledgement
is the prime objective
of this gathering
and this ceremony.
We are here
to bear witness
to the entry into the closer relationship
of husband and wife
of these beloved friends
who are already bound in spirit.
Affirmation Of The Community
We,
as a community,
are privileged to witness this special event
in the lives of Brian and Jennifer.
A new family is established in our midst,
and we are now given the opportunity
to indicate our support
and affirmation
of their decision.
I invite you to indicate your support
by responding "I do"
to the following questions:
Do you commit yourself
to providing all the encouragement and support possible
to help Brian and Jen in their marriage?

to assist Brian and Jen in the struggles

Charge To The Couple

where I remind Jennifer and Brian
of the importance of the commitment
they are making
to each other today}
Brian and Jennifer,
as the two of you come into this marriage
uniting you as husband and wife,
and
as you this day
affirm your faith
and love
for one another,
I would ask
that you always remember
to cherish each other
as special and unique individuals,
that you respect the thoughts,
ideas,
and suggestions
of one another.

do not hold grudges,
and live each day
that you may share it together...

they are going to perform

the Hands Ceremony
or the Blessing of the Hands.}

These are the hand that will hold your hands for a lifetime.
Jennifer:
The hands that will be at the end of every embrace.

They are the hands of your very best friend.

And will encircle your family and make it one.

The hands that will wipe life's tears of both joy and sorrow.

And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged will still be reaching for yours.

Offering the same unspoken support and tenderness with just one touch.
